Unum Jiu jitsu is one of eleven affiliates under the guidance of IBJJF 2019 Master World Champion, Professor Matt Baker, creator and owner of the TRUJITSU Revolution out of Bakersfield, Ca.

Coach Cory was introduced to Jiu jitsu over 15 years ago. While focusing on his career as a police officer, Jiu jitsu was just a hobby. After 16yrs of service, he chose to dedicate himself full time to training, coaching and operating what is now Unum Jiu jitsu.
In 2017, Coach Cory began training under Professor, Jimmy Smith at Blacksmith Jiu jitsu. In 2019, the Smith family asked Cory to take over the academy so they could re-locate BlackSmith Jiu jitsu to Florida.  After much thought, he decided to rename the academy-Unum Jiu jitsu (UNIFIED in Latin).
